I had the priviledge the other day of "meeting" another blogger when she commented on my blog. Her name is Nancy Douglas from Olive Leaf Ministries.

I've just taken some more time to peruse her blog (Olive Leaf Ministries Blog) and listened to her first video devotional. It was really good so I thought I'd share it with you.

This is No April Fools!

I just received my prize that I won from the Ultimate Blog Party! I won the second Canadian prize from the PMS Club. I found out I won just before we went away for Spring Break.

It's a bright & cheery display photo album with a quote on the front that says, "A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face. Proverbs 15:13 ~ The Message". It's a perfect little album to put pictures in from a certain event. I might just put our Spring Break pictures in it (see here and here)! It came with a cute homemade card.

Thanks again, Amy and the PMS Club, for the gift! It has definately brightened my day!

I Won!

Well, we are now on holidays! Our daughter's sickness went away so we left Sunday morning - one day late.

Yesterday I was pleasantly surprised to receive a comment on my blog that I had won one of the Canadian prizes from the "Ultimate Blog Party" gals! I totally wasn't expecting that to happen, especially when there were almost 1500 ladies who signed up! And to think I almost didn't sign up for the UBP! I guess it pays to experiment with change!

I will be sure to post a picture of the prize once it arrives (and we're home from holidays).

Spending My Prize Money

At the end of last year I entered a contest over at SweetMummy's blog. She was celebrating her 267th Post! I won one of the prizes - a $20 gift card for Chapters/Indigo/Coles. I've held onto it until now, not sure of what to buy.

I have thought of all sorts of things, but couldn't seem to decide on anything specifically. Well, yesterday, my family and I were browsing at the mall (my husband won a gift card from a work party!). We ended up using my gift card to buy a Black & Decker Complete Home Repair book! I know, so exciting! Ya, right!

But I'm quite excited about it. We own our home and my sweetie has done most of the repairs to our house by himself. We are all about saving money where we can! Why pay someone else to do it if you can do it yourself?! Of course, there are certain things that need a profesional - we just haven't come across those things yet.

So now we can do all sorts of things to our home! Now I just need to win a money tree so we can do all the things we want to!
